Admission Process

The admission to all U.G and P.G programmes will be as per the rules and regulations of the Kannur University. The eligibility criteria for admission shall be as announced by the university from time to time.

Admission to 50% seats for all U.G and P.G programmes will be on the basis of the merit list prepared by the university / college and the remaining 50% seats will be allotted to the students seeking admission under management quota fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria.

From the academic year 2015-16 onwards a single window centralised admission process (CAP) is in vogue for merit seats of UG programmes in affiliated colleges under Kannur University. Students need to submit only a single application online for various U.G programmes in multiple colleges affiliated to the University.

Applicants seeking admission under management quota have to submit a separate application which can be obtained from the college office on payment of Rs.100/-in addition to submission of online application under CAP. No donation or capitation fee will be charged from students seeking admission under management quota.

The following documents should be produced at the time of admission.

  1. SSLC, +2 Mark lists for degree programmes and SSLC, +2 Degree certificates and mark lists for P.G courses.
  2. Transfer certificate form the school/college last studied.
  3. Conduct certificate from the Head of Institution last studied.
  4. Four copies of passport size photo of the student.
  5. Other relevant certificates if any.


Fees for the odd semesters (semester I, III & V) are to be paid at the time of admission / re-admission in the beginning of each academic year and for even semesters (Semester II, IV & VI) within 15 days, from the date of commencement of classes for the semester.

Students admitted under both merit and management quota have to remit the admission fee, caution deposit, first semester tuition fee and other initial fees specified in the prospectus. Admission fee once paid will not be refunded in any case. No fees will be refunded to students admitted under management quota on discontinuation of the programme / transfer, ever though it is due to getting admission through higher option. Fees paid at the time of admission shall not be refunded to those who seek spot admission in other colleges after first three allotments.

All the third and fifth semester U.G students and third semester P.G students have to undergo the process of Re-admission in the beginning of the academic year and report to the admission committee along with their parents.
